PE, Swimming and Sports Grant
At Meanwood Primary School, we are committed to ensuring that all pupils have access to high-quality physical education, sport and physical activity opportunities. During the 2025–2026 academic year, the school received £18,850 in PE and Sport Premium funding. This funding was used to enhance pupils' experiences, develop skills and improve participation in sport and physical activity.
How the Funding Was Used
Funding was used to support:
- Sports equipment and resources for lessons and activities.
- Entry into external sporting competitions
- Additional swimming provision and aquatic opportunities-there was no additional cost for this
- Support to improve access to PE and sport for pupils with SEND.
Impact on Pupils
The funding has helped pupils take part in a wider range of sporting opportunities and has had a positive impact on swimming and water safety outcomes. We continue to invest in opportunities that encourage healthy lifestyles, teamwork, confidence and enjoyment of physical activity.
