Children are expected to wear trainers to school on their PE days. Children will not be required to change for PE. Further notice will be given if changes to this are made.

Reading Stars

If your child reads at least 3 times a week, they are a Reading Star and are entered into a prize draw where they have the chance to win a reward!

Reading stars are a way of rewarding and encouraging parents and children to read together on a regular basis. Children love to win a prize and it really encourages and motivates them to improve their reading whilst at home.

Please read with your children every day (or at least 3 times a week) and return their signed reading record and book to school every day. If your child is choosing to do their home reading on MYON that is perfectly fine. There is a wide range of wonderful texts available tailored to their reading abilities. MYON is also monitored by the teaching team and reading stars are being recorded.

We are busy working on our times tables. TTRockstars is a really fun and engaging way for children to practise their times tables. Please encourage your child to access TTRockstars twice a week. Look out for class battles and challenges.

Spellings will be handed out on a Tuesday and are to be practised every night using 'look, say, cover, write and check.' The children will have a spellings test every Tuesday.
